This is a modern browser feature that allows us to save significantly more data than a standard cookie, ensuring your complex mind maps remain intact even if you close your browser tab or refresh the page.

Essential Cookies	Necessary for account authentication, security, and maintaining your session when logged in.
Functional Storage	Used to store your current mind map (nodes, links, and comments) so that your progress is persisted locally.
User Preferences	Remembers your sidebar state, the last project name you entered, and your chosen UI theme settings.

3. Managing Your Data

You have full control over your data. You can manage cookies and local storage through your browser settings:

Clear Cache: Doing this will delete all maps stored in Local Storage. Ensure you export your work first.
Incognito Mode: Using TreeHugr in private browsing will prevent data from being saved after the session ends.

4. Privacy Commitment

TreeHugr does not use third-party tracking, advertising, or "pixel" cookies. Your data is used solely for the functionality of the mind mapping tool.
